Beyond RomanceUsing the lovers' eyes from the 19th century as a starting point. I got fascinated about the fact that romantic love is seen as the only relevant thing in the archetypal jewellery. I find that odd since romantic love is only a small part, love of friends and family etc. is at least as important. With this piece, I want to show that love comes in various forms, by taking away the focus towards the romantic aspect. A brooch with outlines of eyes as the basic shape combined with interchangeable eye pieces. This way, you can choose daily who you want close to you that day. The eye pieces are multifunctional, you can also wear them as ear studs.
